Emily Campbell

Emily Campbell (Ngāti Porou, Ngāi Haina) is the Pou Whakamahere Kaupapa Here l Tikanga Māori Planner at Hutt City Council in Te Whanganui-a-Tara and a research consultant.

Her work explores the intersection of planning and design concepts, and te ao Māori across the areas of resource management, disaster risk reduction and climate change to deliver applied, tangata whenua centric solutions to complex problems affecting our communities. This draws particularly on close working relationships with iwi/hapū/Māori to develop culturally specific and human-nature centered approaches to the reindigenisation and sustainable development of place.
