Karl Jones

Karl leads Guy Carpenter’s Global Strategic Advisory group in Asia-Pacific, which includes our Catastrophe, Actuarial and Advisory analytical teams. 

He has over 25 year experience in reinsurance, working in both Europe and Asia, with insurers, reinsurers, regulators and governments on risk modelling, risk financing, and climate risk.

Prior to joining Guy Carpenter in 2021, he led the international Catastrophe Analytics team for Willis Re, based in London, and was also Managing Director at Willis Reinsurance Australia in Sydney.

He has also been involved with a number of activities linking insurance, resilience and the research and academic sectors, including as a member of the Advisory Board of the Cyclone Testing Station at James Cook University, Australia.

Karl is an Associate of the UK Chartered Insurance Institute and a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
